Final 2021-2022 Premier League update
The Premier League season ends with a climactic finish!
Sunday the 22nd of May was a nervous day for a lot of football fans. Some may say the results were fair but most will agree that it was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Manchester City has been crowned victors of the 2021-2022 Premier League. Guardiola’s team won a famous 3-2 against Aston Villa, which gained them the crucial three points to win the league. Liverpool was so close but a master substitution made by Pep saw the City team burst into life and become victorious.
Regardless to say, the Liverpool team have worked tremendously hard this year and has no reason to be downhearted. Winning the League Cup, the FA Cup and qualifying for the Champions League final as well as being so close to winning the Premier League is something the team and the manager can be very proud of!
It was a sad season for Burnley, Watford and Norwich fans as they see themselves relegated. Hopefully, they find success next season and are back up to the top flight of English football in no time.
Spurs edge their way to a Champions League spot alongside City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Whilst Arsenal and United qualify for Europa. Deserving or could they have done more this season?
Nevertheless, it has been a fantastic season! We have seen dramatic turn of events, new signings making their mark and controversial decisions that cost vital points. This season has given the fans everything you expect to see in a Premier League and more. Bring on the 2022-2023 season!
